Founded in 1924 in Stockport, Cheshire, the Vernon is an independent, mutual building society. We seek to provide competitive mortgages, savings and investment products and to be a trusted source of reliable financial advice within our local community. What a refreshing change to ring up and speak to people straight away rather than deal with a call centre.
In a world of pre-recorded messages and menus, it has always been a pleasure to speak to real, friendly people at the Vernon. The willingness for someone to pick up the phone and make direct contact is much appreciated in today's busy working environment.
